Alain Rivas Biography

Alain Rivas graduated from Rollins College with a B.A. in Political Science and History in 1992 and subsequently attended Stetson College of Law where he graduated in 1994.

After law school, Mr. Rivas worked for the Hillsborough County Attorney's Office as a law clerk in various departments. In 1998, Mr. Rivas moved back to Orlando and worked as legal counsel for Joelo Inc., a local retailer.

In 1999, he joined Robert Skubiak, P.A, and began to practice exclusively in criminal and traffic defense. Since 2001, Skubiak & Rivas P.A. has grown into Central Florida's most recognizable defense firm due to the firm's commitment to excellent service and passionate representation. Mr. Rivas takes much pride that most of the firm's new clients were favorably referred by a previous client.

Alain Rivas interests involve classic cars, and is a member of AROC and Central Florida Alfa Romeo Club. Other interest involve playing tennis. Born in Cuba, Mr. Rivas has lived in Orlando since 1979.
